Description
A king with twelve daughters, each with mysteriously worn-out shoes every morning, promises his kingdom to whoever can discover where they dance each night, with the penalty of death for failure. Many princes try and fail, until a clever, old soldier, with the help of an old woman, uses an invisibility cloak to follow the princesses. He discovers they travel to an underground world to dance with twelve princes. Revealing their secret with proof, the soldier is given the choice to marry one of the princesses, and wisely chooses the eldest, eventually inheriting the kingdom.
